Photographer Notes
Having photographed railroads for more than 25 years, I've see a lot of change, both in the subject and the media that is used to share images. Many have turned their backs on slides and black &white photography for the sake of instant images with digital. I had too, but soon returned to those more permanent images.
The images that I have chosen to display are not based on there photographic perfection but as a record of an event. I consider myself to be a recorder of history and not a "professional" rail photographer. While some will spend hours, days, years trying for that illusive perfect photo, I prefer to capture the rare, the unique, and the common for the future.
Some things to keep in mind when viewing these images:
- Respect the copyright.
